Installation

Kalam is a desktop app for Windows. macOS and Linux builds are in development.

Download

1. Go to kalamvoice.com/download.
2. Download the Windows installer.
3. Run the installer and follow the prompts.

First launch

On first launch Kalam opens the setup wizard. It walks you through:

1. Account — sign in, enter a license key, or continue free.
2. Access — grant microphone permission and pick your input device.
3. Shortcuts — set your push-to-talk and toggle hotkeys and recognition languages.
4. Try it — connect a speech provider (cloud key or local model) and dictate a test sentence.

You can re-run the wizard any time from Settings → General → Startup → Re-run setup wizard.

macOS and Linux

Installers for macOS and Linux are planned. The download page will list them when they ship.
